Charitable aims
East London Brass is an organization registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. (registered charity number 1091235)
Our objectives are: To advance the interest and education of the public in the appreciation of brass band music. To advance the education and training of children, young people and adults in the playing of brass band instruments.
A Brass Band for London: The band operates in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, from a local church, and fulfils its objectives primarily by providing a brass band for the London community. The band is for anyone with an interest in brass bands, and/or who plays a brass or percussive instrument. There is broad representation of ability, age and gender.
Education: The band is educating children, young people and adults; we have forged close links with the church, and perform there with the main band.
Child protection: We have an agreed and drawn up Child Protection Policy. All band members involved with children are Police checked.
